As we enter into the new moon in Libra, we acknowledge the need for balance. Astrologer, Cathy Pagano writes, “The balance that Libra strikes is not only between yourself and another, but between your inner and your outer lives....It’s time to attune ourselves to the stillness at the center of silence…”
When we think of balance we look externally. We look at our relationships, our work, our health, our personal time (personal time? what the heck is that?). Yet, the balance we truly need begins within.
Balance begins within. Connection with our two energetic polarities, the root chakra which is our grounding source and our crown chakra which is our universal wisdom. As we find our way back to these points, then we are organically led back to our centerpoint which is what Pagano speaks about. That centerpoint between our root and crown is our internal source. The energy flowing through it fuels the vibrancy of our bodies. It helps us restore from the ‘fight or flight’. It gives us stamina to function throughout the day. It connects us to our innate compassion in our interaction with others. It helps us to slow down and be intentional with every action. Most importantly, it reinforces our ability to respond, rather than react.
This brings me back to a ‘download from the divine’ I had around this time last year.
"Humans are so consumed with planning or looking backward that you miss the flow. The flow from Source. There is so much efforting to get what you want, to get where you need to go, to complete tasks. There is so much efforting around being purposeful that you miss the flow. The flow is feeding you all the time, it's giving you everything you need and if humans can just be in that energy and wisdom then everything will align for them."
It’s the place where we are informed by our hearts and spirit rather than our egos and rational mind. It's a much more spacious, compassionate place to live, but we snap back into that loop of planning or looking backward and we become frustrated, reactive and exhausted.
From a responsive place, we begin to experience the world differently. We feel it, hear it, see it from much more objectivity. In a world where nothing seems to make sense, we begin to settle into an ease with the idea that somehow it all fits, somehow it’s all perfect. This fosters more of a feeling of unity with everything around us, rather than that feeling of separation. In which we brace ourselves against it all.
Aligning with this internal balance allows us to release our hold on the ‘supposed to be’ and soften into ‘what is’. It’s in this place where we find solace, peace and even compassion for where we and others live on the unified path.
